Resets Canon original chip. There is only one Genuine Canon Chip resetter on the market and this is it ! Battery operated, good for at least 500 chip resets. If it’s not a REDSETTER it is a fake. Cheap quality illegal Chinese copies of the German made Redsetter are being sold in Australia. Please let us know if you see any of these. The factory in Germany is keen to take legal action against anyone selling these copies. Units that we have tested and sent to the factory have been found to be poor copies of the old firmware. The new Redsetter II has new firmware that not only programs the chip it checks the chip and indicates if there is a problem. Currently there are 2 genuine versions of the chip resetter. Battery powered and Mains powered. The mains powered version is sold in our ebay store. There are also direct copies of the Redsetter on the market that look just like the Genuine product. If your resetter has screws on the bottom. It’s a fake !. The Genuine Redsetter does not have screws on the bottom. Version II of the Redsetter also has new firmware. Copies are generally called “ Resetter” not “ Redsetter” and have a copy of the old firmware. The Redsetter II alignement ramp has notches on it, older versions & the copies don’t. This Genuine Chip resetter will reset Canon PGI-5 Black ( the wide one ) , CLI-8 Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Photo Cyan, Photo Magenta, Red and Green cartridges. Resets the ink levels back to new.
